I thought the comment to "Recreation Room" that I copied below merits its own post and comments. I'm a big fan of gardening too. This is what it said:
I hope that a comment on a community garden is not out of place here. I don't play basketball, use the sauna, lift weights, or play tennis but I am happy these facilities are available to the owners. I do like to garden and a community garden would be wonderful for, not only me, but for both the minds and the bodies of a wide range of residents.
There seems to be plenty of land, and although there would be costs like water, the costs wouldn't seem be significant. I have been told that the Water Committee nixed the idea. If this is true I would like to know why, and at least be able to counter the committe's argument. How do I go about talking to the committe and it's members?

I'd like a garden too! Where should we put it?
ReplyDeleteAny ideas on how to get the "Water Committee" to come around to our way of thinking?
