Seriously folks, the purpose of a blog is so that we can communicate with one another. Fear of reprisal will not bring about change. But know you are not alone. Every post you see and several you don't were all "self-censored" by people who said to me that they were afraid of reprisal by our general manager. You may continue to e-mail me but I can't change anything by myself!
The purpose of the blog is to provide a forum for communication that does not currently exist in our HOA meetings or news letter. It's a lot easier to blog than it is to stand up in front of a tank. You can start a new topic, or comment annonymously. If you need help doing that, click on my photo and it will e-mail me and I will help you, but I won't interview you and report... that's a news paper's job. I want change as much as you do.
It turns out SURPRIZE! that people affected by the fire did and still do need help, but after contacting our general manager and a member of the board I was unable to produce any results toward finding out what needs we as a community could contribute to and the office made it clear that they are not going to be responsible for forwarding any assistance from residents to those affected by the fire. They have their reasons I presume. The only way we can breech this impasse is to communicate with one another. Please participate, we can't do anything without you. Your voice is important. We want to hear you!
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
